Otra vez las bicis en el camion, esta vez para subir las en un ferri desde la isla Chiloé al principio de la Carretera Austral en Chaitén.

Wieder einmal eine Fahrradverladung auf die Faehre von der Insel Chiloé an den Anfang der Carretera Ausral in Chaitén.

Again the bikes had to be loaded on a truck to be transported on the local ferry from the little island of Chiloé to the beginning of the Carretera Austral in Chaitén. Yes, the ferry left at last...

Probando las gafas "cheveres" en el ferri.

Was fuer coole Brillen!!!! Ihr werdet es nicht glauben, aber Brillen mit Sonnenschutz unter dem Ozonloch des Suedens scheinen hier nicht ueblich zu sein... so muss man eben nehmen, was man kriegt! Danke, Jose, was fuer ein tolles Geburtstagsgeschenk!

Cool glasses, ehhh?! You won't believe it, but glasses with a good protection of the sun don't seem to be important overhere, under the ozone hole of the south... so you have to accept what you get! Thanks for such a nice birthday present, Jose!!!

Arrival in Chaitén. Without any blue whales unfortunately...

Hola Chaitén! Ulli se pasó en la proa del barco unas pocas de horas a ver si podia conseguir de ver algunas ballenas azules. Pero no pudo ser...

Ankunft in Chaitén. Leider ohne Blauwale....

Und nun erwarten uns 1000 km purer Natur, ueberwiegend Schotter, aber wilde Campingplaetze, einer schoener als der andere.. Jetzt haben wir die Qual der Wahl: Radeln oder Wandern, fuer beides reicht die Energie nicht...

Now, we have 1000 km of pure nature ahead of us, mostly on dirt roads, but with more than plenty possiblities for camping just where you feel like, one site is better than the other... THe only problem is that we can't decide to go trekking or biking , now, for both there is not enough energy left in our "little" legs...

Nos esperan 1000 km de pura naturaleza, ripio, pero milliones de posibilidades para acampar en cualquier sitio, cada dia es mas bonito. Pero tenemos el problema de la decision hacer trekking o andar en bici, por que las piernas no dan para mas!!!

Bikers´paradise, after many kilometers of dirt road we´ve finally reached concrete!!!
